These fittings are made from the wood species Caesalpinia Platyloba, commonly called Chakte Viga.

Pernambuco (Caesalpinia echinata) has been classified by the IUCN Red List as a species in danger of extinction. Bogaro & Clemente therefore uses a variant of the same family commonly known as Chakte Viga to preserve nature and tradition.
