“Inch thread” refers to the most common thread, 40 TPI.
“Metric thread” refers to the finer, metric thread, preferred by some.
All screw diameters are metric, whether 3mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, etc. regardless of thread style.
Bass bow screws and eyelets are made with the “inch thread”.
