The acoustic electric version of the cello includes a Glasser Swordtail active tailpiece system powered by Bartolini pre-amplification, and a Schatten pick-up.

Glasser AE acoustic electric cellos and outfits are available in 4/4 only.

This instrument is supplied set up from Glasser, with Larsen strings and Planetary Tuning Pegs, a Glasser carbon fiber endpin, and a carbon composite Glasser tailpiece with 4 fine tuners for the ultimate tunability. For improved playability, further adjustment to bridge, nut, and sound post is recommended, and is available at extra cost.

Other colours available on special order. Orange is the colour that is closest to a traditional cello.
